What is the SWAP Program ?

Swap is a business strategy for repair shop owners to take in good displays which are broken glass and get it “swapped” for a new one for a fraction of the price. This keeps your part cost below market price and still leaving a significant margin for the shop owner to make, while still retaining the quality of the display and giving your customer(s) a premium display back.

How will it benefit the shop owner ?

As the Industry is changing, many of the higher displays are getting expensive which prevents many shop owners to be successful in getting a repair in the door. With the SWAP Program, it brings not only more margin per repair, but also more repairs.

How is it different from buyback and new purchasing ?

This is completely different. Couple reasons, you don’t have to wait a week for the testing. After it is tested you get a small payout as at the end of the day where there is 4-5 trades that need to get the displays handed over before it gets reclaimed, go back up to supply chain and into the repair store. SWAP allows you to cut out the reclamation process and make you more profit for the repair.

What does a shop owner need to do ?

We recommend that a shop owner choose what models are important to them and are a hot sale for his shop. The will initially need to stock 2-3 pieces (or whatever sells every week) on the shelves. Initially they mark down the repair at a very aggressive price where his/her margins will be lower. Then the shop owner is ready to start the cycle of SWAP Program. At the end of the week, they grab all the good displays with broken glass and mails it into the SWAP program. They dont need to pay for a shipping label and once the displays hit our warehouse within the same day approximately, we will give the store owner the token to purchase a new one at a fraction of the price.

What is Considered Fully Functional & Minor Damage ?

For iPhone OLED Display Models, fully functional must be good OLED panel & can't have any black dots/burn marks/green dot or bullet marks. Bad Touch to the display will qualify for minor damage.

For iPhone LCD Display Models, fully functional must be good LCD panel & good digitizer. Backlight Issues or prior reclaimed will still be accepted for SWAP however will fall under the minor damage category.

For iPad LCD Display Models, fully functional must be good LCD panel. Backlight issue which includes waves/white dot/dust will qualify and be accepted for SWAP however will fall under the minor damage category.

For Samsung OLED Display Models, fully functional must be good OLED panel & good digitizer. It cant have any black dots/burn marks/green dot or bullet marks. Light or Medium Aging (Shadow/Burn) will still be accepted for SWAP however will fall under the minor damage category.

Why is there a $2000 Minimum Spending Required ?

As the SWAP Program is announced and will be a major industry change, we want to have a testing phase and offer it to our current customers that is already a MobileSentrix.com Customer. This will help in the influx of SWAPs. At the end, we want to be able to catter all our clients and partners however we want to make sure it is something all our clients are happy with and be available immediately. Rest Assured, we do plan on making this program eventually be open to lower thresholds amounts.

If I am not eligible yet, what can I do ?

For one, you can see if there is some way to get this last 30 days order up to $2000 Minimum. We would be more than happy to enroll you into the program, as anyway to start to use SWAP Program, you will want to have initial inventory of displays for your clients essentially being able to "SWAP" for your consumer right away as well while collecting at the end of the week.

What about future models and other technologies that may be added ?

Our goals are to keep adding more and more newer models to this list. Even if we can’t do the reclamation process, but we are able to purchase a new display panel, we will be able to still SWAP the product in advance.

Can we "SWAP" for a different color ?

Currently, we are only giving the same display color for the SWAP that is submitted. This way it helps the shop owner replenish their stock of inventory correctly. The shop owner doesn’t need to figure out what colors they are running low on, as they will be getting the same color back.

What if my frame is damaged on my Samsung Displays ?

Fortunately, all SWAPs will come with new frames so this will not make a difference in processing your SWAP Program and we will not penalize you for it. We do however require all Samsung Displays to come with frame pre-installed to prevent mishandling during shipping or during testing phase. Any Samsung displays that do not come with frame will be rejected immediately.

Is SWAP Inventory different than your regular Inventory ?

Yes. SWAP Inventory is a complete separate inventory. This program is something that took us some time in inventory supply in advance and have set-aside for this. That means we will not be sold out, and we will not sell these display models other than our dedicated SWAP Clients.

Will SWAP pricing go down lower than the Current Pricing ?

Yes. This is dependent on the re-core process and the consumable cost. We will evaluate to see the pricing go down lower on SWAP in the future as the process will allow us to bring the pricing down more aggressively than it is already.
